Safety
Lab safety is very important to us. In order to ensure that all members and guests are aware of our safety protocols, our procedures for general-use equipment are listed below.
Procedures
Before any lab experiment is performed, it is mandatory for all the group members and visiting users to have a standard operation procedure (SOP) form in place. The SOP must be reviewed by Dr. Fu and signed by the experimenter prior to the experiment. The established SOPs can be found in the shared group google drive.

Emergency Information

In the event of an emergency in the building, use the stairs to evacuate. The gathering point is in front of Pearson Hall, on the east side of Academy Street.

Fire extinguishers are located outside each lab door (SPL 227).
-
For small chemical spills, a kit is located in SPL 227.
-
Safety showers and eyewash stations are located near the exit doors in each lab.
-
Emergency phones and call buttons are located in each hallway outside the labs.
